It's nice to see tohse dogs frolick in the water. However, things might have changed after you took this picture. The city's dogcatchers have turned on stray dogs as well as owner-owned dogs. Under the premise of keeping the beach clean, they have rounded up dogs and sold them to the meat market or ate the dogs themselves. Boracay is a very cruel place for dogs, and the dogcatchers operate with impunity. You may not see these dogs again.
Hello again, as a follow up, we are asking people to help us stop the killings. The dogcathers are in violation of the Philippine Animal Welfare Act of 1998 and also the Anti-Rabies Act of 2007 (Republic Act 9482). Please send an appeal to the BAI to investigate and stop the killings. Here is the info:
